In late 1981, Jimmy Page collaborated with Chris Squire and Alan White of Yes and recorded a few tracks. These have been dubbed XYZ Sessions (eX-Yes & Zeppelin). This instrumental is a prototype Jimmy Page used in The Firm's 1986 album Mean Business on a song called "Fortune Hunter".

Robert Plant, Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones reunited in Philadelphia at Live Aid on 1985.07.13. The set list was Rock And Roll, Whole Lotta Love & Stairway To Heaven. Aside from monitor problems, Plant's voice being shot and the Les Paul being out of tune, Plant said in a post-performance interview, "Well it happened for about 20 minutes and it was great."
