Robert Plant forced to call in security team after stalker plagues Led Zeppelin legend

Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant has been forced to hire a security team and obtain a restraining order against a dangerous stalker for his own safety.

The 64-year-old rocker claims a delusional love-struck woman is threatening him, sending mysterious messages and packages, and he has successfully won a court order to keep her away from him and girlfriend Patty Griffin.

It is understood the woman, named in official documents as Alysson Billings, has been trailing Plant around the world obsessively for around three years, but her behaviour has become more alarming and threatening since he started a relationship with American folk musician Patty.

A source said: “The messages have been going on for three years, but ever since Robert started dating Patty, what started as a harmless infatuation has turned very sinister.”

The woman believes she is in a relationship with the iconic Stairway to Heaven singer, and has followed him around the world leaving him hotel keys and sending packages.

Documents confirm he has brought in a professional security assessment team and guards who agreed he is in danger.

The bizarre messages sent by the woman include “your betrayal with another woman still stabs my mind”, and “I’m telling you that rotten crotch is ruining you”.

Another read: “This woman is literally evil for you and your life.

“You are about to fall for that dirty old crotch.

“And I’m not joking, I cannot, will not, shall not live this way any more.”

Plant toured with Patty in 2010 and the pair confirmed their relationship in 2012, revealing they have moved in together in Texas.

After years of reunion rumours, Led Zeppelin performed their first concert since 1988 on December 10, 2007.

Despite the critical acclaim and huge public demand, Plant turned down an estimated £140million offer to tour with the band following the successful comeback.
