KISS bassist Gene Simmons has shared a photo and story of running into Led Zeppelin guitar legend Jimmy Page in New York City.

"So, Shannon, Nick and I are sitting at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York," explains Gene.

"And Ross Halfin, rock photographer impresario walks over to say hello, having just photographed us in Australia – and who is standing right beside him? Jimmy Page!!!"

"Nick just about had heart palpitations," he continued. "I quickly grabbed my phone and took a photo. And Jimmy, as always, is the consummate gentleman."

"Hail the RiffMaster of them all," saluted Simmons.
